Step-by-Step Hairstyles: 85 Salon Looks to Create: A comprehensive guide to styling your hair for stunning results, with more than 80 complete looks shown in 500 how-to photographs
For those who are not savvy nor have the patience to learn elaborate techniques, a few quick lessons in this book will do. The up-dos and pony tails are really nice. It takes time and some experience styling one's own hair for a few days before one can get comfortable with it. Some of the ideas the author has do not work. For example, finger drying/shaping hair will not work for all hair types. The long hair ideas described are excellent. The photos are very helpful. All in all, this is a helpful book. The book is a good reference to take with you to a salon, but for do-it-yourselfers wanting to save some dough, it isn't an easy guideline. Especially for all thumbs moms.
